Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Knackstart app (“the app”, “we”, “us”), published by SPACE TIGER STUDIO LIMITED, 21 Bar Meadows, Malpas, Truro, TR1 1SS, England. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Eligibility
You must be able to form a legally binding agreement to use the app. The app is not intended for children under 13, and they should not use it.
The service
Knackstart helps you start a new hobby. From the hobby and preferences you choose, it suggests a starter kit in three layers (essential, nice to have, later), an estimated price for each item, and first steps for your first week. Suggestions are generic product categories (for example, “3-season sleeping bag” or “round watercolor brush, size 8”), not specific products, brands, or endorsements. The app is provided free of charge; there are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
AI-generated kits
Kits, quantities, prices, first steps and safety notes are produced by an automated AI system and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. They are suggestions only, not professional advice. Prices are rough estimates and may differ from what a retailer charges. Use your own judgment, read product information before buying, and follow the safety guidance of equipment manufacturers and local rules. You are responsible for how you practice any hobby.
Daily limit
To keep the service free and available, the app limits how many new kits can be requested per day. Saved kits remain available on your device without limit.
Amazon links
Items in a kit link to search results on amazon.com. We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Your purchases are made from Amazon or third-party sellers under their terms; we are not a party to those transactions and are not responsible for the products, their availability, pricing, delivery, or support.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, including by attempting to disrupt the service, circumvent the daily limit, reverse engineer the app, or use it for any unlawful purpose. Requests that the kit builder declines (for example, weapons, alcohol, or medical topics) are declined for everyone.
Intellectual property
The app, its design, mascot, and content are owned by SPACE TIGER STUDIO LIMITED or its licensors. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. Kit text you share is yours to share.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that suggestions will meet your needs.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SPACE TIGER STUDIO LIMITED shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the app or reliance on any suggestion in it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for it (zero).
Changes and termination
We may change or discontinue the app or these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SPACE TIGER STUDIO LIMITED is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer law in your country provides otherwise.
